Connecticut’s seasons for hunting various birds and animals with firearms began rolling out on Saturday and will continue through November.
Fall turkey season opened on Saturday, and the regular waterfowl season opened on Wednesday. Small game season opens Oct. 18 for pheasant, quail, ruffed grouse, chukar partridge, and cottontail rabbit.
Statewide firearms season for deer starts Nov. 19.
