Quinnipiac University will be hosting a career fair in April focused on the manufacturing, engineering and technology industries.
The event will be on April 4 at the university’s M & T Bank Arena from 3 to 6 p.m.
This is a statewide event and nearly 100 hiring companies as well as representatives from the technology and engineering fields will be present. These companies are prepared to meet with entry-level candidates, which includes graduating high school seniors, college students, and professionals who may be searching for work, for full-time, internship or apprentice positions.
Prior to the career fair, from 9 a.m. to noon, there will be the CT Manufacturing Roadshow, which will allow companies to meet with students from the middle school to the college level and demonstrate to them potential career opportunities.
The event is free, and students and families do not need to register.
Companies that will be in attendance include some Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce members and sponsors such as Allnex, Roehm America, United Concrete, Ulbrich, Pat Munger Construction, BYK and more.
Transportation via buses will be available from many college campuses. Information for transportation from campuses is available by reaching out to CTMETFair@quinnipiac.edu.
Schools that are partnering with Quinnipiac to provide transportation to the career fair include Fairfield University, Housatonic Community College, University of New Haven and the University of Hartford.
