Stratford manufacturer Hubbell Electric Heater completed the installation of 426 solar panels on its roof this week.
The solar array will generate 40 percent of the facility’s power needed and eliminate 71 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
“This rooftop solar array demonstrates our company’s commitment to going green as evidenced not only in the high efficiency water heating products we build, but also in the continued reduction of our own carbon footprint,” Hubbell president William Newbauer said in a press release.
Branford-based Pat Munger Construction Co. installed the array.
