The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co.’s downtown Hartford One State Street headquarters recently received LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, the company announced.
The 24-story building’s energy use, lighting, water consumption and other factors all played into its overall LEED score, the equipment insurer said.
The council uses a 100-point system to assign LEED certifications, which range from “certified” (40-49 points) to “platinum” (80+ points).
