The state House of Representatives voted unanimously Monday to approve a bill eliminating nearly 1,000 pages of state regulations.
The bill, which is supported by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, now heads to the Senate.
The bill repeals 17 statutes and several hundred regulations from numerous state agencies, which a public review process determined were duplicative, excessively burdensome, or otherwise ineffective or unnecessary.
It also sets up a new process for state agencies to adopt some regulations without the approval of the legislature’s Regulation Review Committee.
