Haven Beer Company has named Connecticut hospitality veteran Chris Leonard as general manager of its Hamden brewery, restaurant, taproom and biergarten.
Leonard brings more than two decades of hospitality experience to the role. Most recently, he was general manager of 110 Grill in Manchester. Before that, he spent nearly a decade at City Steam Brewery in downtown Hartford.
City Steam closed in March 2024 after 26 years in business, following the financial impact of a closure forced by a flooding incident in the building.
Leonard has also served as a manager with Max Restaurant Group in Hartford.
At Haven, Leonard will oversee day-to-day operations across the restaurant, brewery, taproom and private-events business.
Opened in 2024, Haven offers rotating craft beers, cocktails and wine, a scratch kitchen, live entertainment and multiple indoor and outdoor spaces.
Haven’s ownership say they’re planning for an expanded live-music and events calendar this fall, as well as continued growth in private events ahead of the holiday season.
