The Hospital of Central Connecticut says it has inked a new contract with health insurer Cigna.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
HCC and Cigna had been in prolonged negotiations over reimbursement rates and faced a Feb. 14 deadline to get a deal done.
If both sides were unable to reach a new agreement about 20,000 patients faced out-of-network prices.
