The new owners plan to operate a dining facility under a new concept.
A Berlin property built to host a banquet hall and restaurant featuring authentic Polish cuisine recently sold for $925,000.
In a deed recorded by the town on July 8, a limited liability company headed by Antoni Karwowski, of Glastonbury, sold a 9,514-square-foot building, at 237 New Britain Road, that had hosted the Baltic Banquet Facility and Restaurant since 2008.
The new owner, 237 New Britain Road LLC, is led by principals Javed Khan, of Tolland, and Mohammad Sohail, of Middletown. Attempts to reach Khan and Sohail were not immediately successful.
According to the Baltic’s website, the facility was modeled to emulate a mansion the Karwowski family built in Poland in 1760.
Listing broker Rick Ziff, of Agnelli Real Estate, said the property had been on the market for the better part of one year. The business closed with the sale, he said.
The new owners also plan to operate a dining facility under a new concept, Ziff said.
Jim Neckermann, of the Berlin-based Commercial Real Estate Group, represented the buyer.
