Home market ends skid

The median price of a Connecticut home, which hasn’t topped previous year’s figures since July of last year, rose 1 percent in January to $272,725, compared to $270,000 in January 2006. The number of houses sold picked up after an even longer drought, rising 4.6 percent from January 2006 figures, the first year-over-year improvement since September 2005.
