Attorney General Eric Holder was scheduled to be in Connecticut Monday as the state’s new top federal prosecutor is formally sworn in at Yale Law School, the Associated Press reports.
Greenwich lawyer David Fein became U.S. attorney for Connecticut in May after being confirmed by the Senate. A formal ceremony is planned for 11 a.m. Monday.
A spokesman for Fein’s office says Holder will attend the event.
President Barack Obama nominated Fein, who served as an associate White House counsel to President Bill Clinton from 1995 to 1996.
Fein replaced former U.S. Attorney Nora Dannehy, who took over after Kevin O’Connor took a senior Justice Department job under President George W. Bush. Dannehy has resumed her duties as deputy U.S. attorney.
