Connecticut car dealer Hoffman Auto Group announced Wednesday it will install four solar arrays at its dealerships totaling 347 kilowatts.
The solar installations will be in East Hartford at the Hoffman Porsche and Hoffman Used Car SuperStore dealerships, and in West Simsbury at the Hoffman Honda and Hoffman Toyota Scion dealerships.
Combined, the projects will have 1,137 solar panels and are expected to be operational by mid-November. They will cover 50 percent of the facilities’ electricity needs.
Middletown solar installer Greenskies Renewable Energy will put up the Hoffman arrays. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Greenskies also is looking at putting solar arrays at five other Hoffman dealerships and two body shops.
