Listed at just under $1 million, a historic French Normandy home in West Hartford is being sold at auction Dec. 7 by Concierge Auctions.
Located at 64 Orchard Road, the 1931 Tudor-style, 7,204-square-foot country estate, set on five acres of park-like grounds, was originally designed by Lester Beach Scheide Inc., according to Janine Warner, an account coordinator at Relevance New York.
Listed at $948,900, the seven-bedroom, six-bathroom home’s amenities include leaded glass windows with views of the surrounding rolling hills, a sunken living room with a soaring ceiling and oversized windows, and multiple fireplaces.
The estate is near The Hartford Golf Club – the oldest Club in the area – and the Wampanoag Country Club, home to the area’s most challenging Donald Ross golf course.
The historic residence will be sold in cooperation with Mollie Abend of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices via Concierge Auctions’ mobile bidding app Instant Gavel.
