HISTORIC DAY AT ST. FRANCIS

The Curtis D. Robinson Men’s Health Institute at St. Francis has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tuskegee University Cancer Research Program. The unique collaboration hopes to provide groundbreaking insight into prostate cancer’s disproportionate mortality rate among African-American men. “The partnership with Tuskegee University is groundbreaking,” said Curtis D. Robinson, charter benefactor of the Men’s Health Institute. “The opportunity to make history gives me tremendous pride. As a boy who grew up in segregated Birmingham, Ala., I never would have thought I would see a day like today.” Pictured at the signing are, from left, Christopher Dadlez, president and CEO, St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center; Dr. Gilbert Rochon, president, Tuskegee University; Curtis D.
