One Connecticut law firm’s loss is Hinckley Allen’s gain.
The firm, formerly known as Hinckley, Allen & Snyder, has hired Daniel L. Gottfried as a tax and corporate partner in its Hartford office. Gottfried most recently worked for Rogin Nassau.
He specializes in international tax planning and compliance and in taxation of personal property, the firm said. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut School of Law and also helped establish Israel’s first privately funded start-up accelerator, VentureGeeks.
Hinckley, which is based in Rhode Island, calls the Stilts Building at 20 Church St. its Hartford home.
Gottfried’s hiring comes seven months after Hinckley absorbed approximately 15 lawyers, including two partners, from Levy & Drony, a Hartford firm that announced in December that it would dissolve.
