The first Spark by Hilton, a new “premium economy lodging option” announced by the hotel company in January, has opened in Mystic, according to information from the company.
Spark by Hilton Mystic Groton is located at 55 Whitehall Ave., Mystic. Matt Schuyler, chief brand officer at Hilton, announced the opening of the new hotel on LinkedIn.
In January, Hilton said the new Spark brand will have an open space in the hotel, complimentary breakfast, 24-hour retail market and 24-hour digital check-ins. Rooms will include an open closet, refrigerator, multi-purpose work surface and bright bathroom.
The company also touted greater value for existing owners and operators that want to open a Spark by Hilton, including a “cost-effective conversion” to the new brand.
More Spark by Hilton locations are scheduled to open across the country, according to the company’s website.
