Higher revenue drives SS&C’s 2Q gains

Windsor financial software and services provider SS&C Technologies Holdings said higher sales across its business lines drove its profits up nearly 44 percent.

Net income for the quarter totaled $39.1 million, or 44 cents per diluted share, up from $27.2 million, or 31 cents, in the second quarter of 2014.

Revenue grew more than $24 million, or 12.8 percent, to $212.8 million, led by growth in maintenance offerings.

CEO and Chairman Bill Stone said SS&C’s integration of Advent — acquired earlier this month — is “in full swing.”
