New Haven higher education technology services company Higher One announced it has acquired the social software platform PayDivvy.
PayDivvy allows users to make person-to-person payments and split restaurant tabs and electric bills.
PayDivvy had stopped accepting payments earlier this year after announcing it would be acquired (but not naming Higher One).
Higher One said it plans to incorporate the features into its student-focused platform. The company disclosed in a regulatory filing Thursday that it paid $120,000 for PayDivvy.
