Bloomfield health analytics firm SimplyVital Health said Thursday it is partnering with Hartford HealthCare’s Bone & Joint Institute at Hartford Hospital to manage hip and knee replacements.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
SimplyVital will assess total hip and total knee joint replacement patients from first appointment to final treatment in an effort to reduce costs and improve patient recovery. SimplyVita said the key to reducing healthcare costs and improving care outcomes is effective pre- and post-surgery patient management and monitoring financial estimates in real time.
David Santoro, the institute’s director of operations, said SimplyVital’s data analytics tools provide “one more tool to effectively manage our patients.”
The Bone & Joint Institute coordinates services for patients with musculoskeletal disorders and orthopedic injuries, serving patients from Baby Boomers to seasoned athletes.
