Hartford HealthCare said it has opened its fourth GoHealth Urgent Care center in the state this year, located in Newington at 3219 Berlin Turnpike.
The facility opened for business on Wednesday and represents HHC’s 23rd urgent care center in Connecticut.
HHC said the urgent care center will provide access to treatment for non-life threatening illnesses and injuries; on-site X-ray services; and COVID-19 testing. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekends.
HHC, parent company of Hartford Hospital, said the opening of the new urgent care center is a trend that will continue.
“Ensuring convenient access to affordable, world-class health care is one of the most important things we can do to keep our communities well,” said Dr. Eric Walsh, medical director, Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care. “When we open urgent care centers in new communities like Newington, people are able to receive high-quality care, closer to their home or workplace.”
