Hartford HealthCare has announced that it will begin booking appointments in September for a new center that will support transgender adults.
The Center for Gender Health will offer various services, according to its newly-launched website, behavioral health, care management, chest reconstruction, facial reconstruction, gynecology, hormone therapy, primary care and voice therapy/surgery.
In September, the center will start a therapy group called “Transitions” that will provide clinical support and connection with peers for anyone going through social or medical transition.
HHC is the parent company to Hartford Hospital and has more than 400 locations serving 185 communities .
