The average Hartford household is expected to spend $64.30 on moving expenses this year, the seventh highest in the country, according to Texas self storage company SpareFoot.
The company said the entire Hartford market will spend $30.5 million on moving.
The Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk area ranked first at $71.53 per household, or $24.5 million. It was the only metro area above $70.
SpareFoot used data from Geographic Research Inc. to compile the ranking.
