The Hartford Symphony Orchestra has hired Justin Ellis as director of artistic operations.
Ellis comes from Virginia, where he was operations manager for the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
He is French hornist who served as a sergeant senior instrumentalist in the 234th Army Band in Portland Oregon. He also previously worked for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago and Chamber Music Northwest in Portland, Ore.
