Hfd. Healthcare, Hebrew Health ink clinical partnership

Hartford Healthcare has forged a strategic partnership with West Hartford’s Hebrew Health Care that both providers say will enhance elderly care.

The consulting and clinical affiliation will help Hebrew make some of its services more cost effective, while giving Hartford Healthcare access to Hebrew’s array of care offerings largely aimed at elderly patients, including rehabilitation, acute care, hospice and other services, the organizations said.

“Hartford Healthcare’s organizational management expertise, together with Hebrew Health Care’s recognized geriatric experience and skill, will allow us to deepen our shared commitment to the seniors we serve across the region,” Elliot Joseph, president and CEO of Hartford Healthcare, said in a statement.

Hebrew is made up of nine affiliates, including The Hospital at Hebrew Health Care, the Hebrew Health Visiting Nurses and Hospice and Hebrew Health Assisted Living Services, among others.

Hebrew will remain an independent organization with its own board of trustees and management.

Hartford Healthcare operates five hospitals: Backus Hospital, Hartford Hospital, MidState Medical Center, The Hospital of Central Connecticut and Windham Hospital.
