City and federal officials are touring downtown Hartford’s Pratt Street today, encouraging merchants and consumers to rally behind this weekend’s Small Business Saturday.
Connecticut U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal will join Mayor Pedro E. Segarra and his economic development aides and officials from the Small business Administration on the walk, which started 11 a.m., starting at men’s and women’s fashion boutique Stackpole Moore & Tryon, 242 Trumbull St.
From there, they are scheduled to stop just around the corner, at Professional Barber Shop, 97 Pratt St., then next door at Vaughn Public House, 59 Pratt.
Small Business Saturday is designated nationwide to support the local small businesses during one of the busiest shopping weekends that officially launches the holiday season.
