Under Connecticut’s new recreational marijuana law, employers in some safety-conscious industries may continue banning employees from off-site recreational cannabis use without writing a marijuana-specific policy. These industries include:

  • Mining
  • Utilities
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Transportation or delivery
  • Educational services
  • Health care or social services
  • Justice and public safety activities
