The 4H Education Center at Auer Farm in Bloomfield received a grant from the 1772 Foundation to refurbish its former creamery building for classrooms. The farm hosts more than 14,000 children each year for hands-on agriculture and science programs. Students from Webster Hill School in West Hartford joined the grant celebration with Mary Anthony, executive director of the 1772 Foundation and members of the farm’s board of directors. Pictured, from left, are: Patricia Estill and Ty Tryon, Auer board members; Anthony; Anthony Drapelick, Nick Miller, and Earl Gardner, Auer board members; Elizabeth Salsedo, education director, Auer Farm; and Webster Hill students.
