Hebrew Health Care’s annual Celebrated Great Lives drew about 400 people at the Hartford Marriott Downtown and raised $300,000 to support dementia care services. Historian and author Doris Kearns Goodwin spoke about the lives and politics of former Presidents including Abraham Lincoln, her hero, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. An auction of celebrity designed Adirondack chairs raised over $40,000 for HHC’s A Fresh Canvas: An Alzheimer’s Arts Program. Hebrew Health Care is a non-profit, non-sectarian health care provider.
