Springfield-based Peter Pan Bus Lines, with services in Connecticut, expects to carry more than 200,000 passengers during the holiday season.
Starting back on Dec. 16 and running through Jan. 2, Peter Pan expects the three-day Christmas and New Year’s weekends along with the college winter break to create even heavier travel than usual for this time of year, which has traditional historic high demand.
To prep for the demand, Peter Pan added 625 extra motorcoaches to its service routes in the Northeast corridor. Passengers were given the option of reserved seating on specific route schedules.
