Connecticut’s public health insurance exchange, Access Health CT, said it has named interim leader James Wadleigh as CEO.
Wadleigh, 47, has been serving as interim CEO since August, when he succeeded the exchange’s first leader, Kevin Counihan. Wadleigh previously served as the exchange’s chief information officer.
He has also worked for Cigna, as a senior director of application development.
Wadleigh’s promotion comes days after the exchange wrapped up its second open enrollment period.

According to CT News Junkie, the Access Health board of directors also considered Chief Operations Officer Peter Van Loon and Chief Financial Officer Steven Sigal for the CEO position.
