A health care clinic franchise recently expanded with a new location in New Haven, and plans are underway for another one in Avon later this year.
Husband and wife team Emily and Gregg Nardone opened a QC Kinetix clinic at 1 Long Wharf Drive, Suite 303, on Aug. 5.
The regenerative medicine franchise, according to company officials, offers a non-surgical way to treat and relieve joint pain by using the body’s own natural healing properties. According to the company’s website, treatments may involve the use of lasers and injections of biologic substances, such as natural hyaluronic acid, which can help lubricate joints, for example.
The Nardones bring both a healthcare and business background to the new practice. They have two other QC Kinetix clinics in their native Massachusetts, and have plans to open a second clinic in Connecticut in Avon by the end of the year. The New Haven office has four employees, with plans to hire more. They also plan to add a hair restoration service in the near future.
The Nardones said their goal is to help people dealing with joint pain lead more active lives with this treatment method.
“Everyone should have access to these life-changing treatments, not just celebrities or pro athletes,” said Emily Nardone. “So many people don’t even know about this alternative to going under the knife or taking pain medication. We’re here to change that.”
The Nardones plan to partner with local pain management specialists, including physical therapists or chiropractors.
“We are here to work together, as a community, to improve the quality of life of everyone,” said Gregg Nardone. “QC Kinetix has been changing lives for five years, and we plan to continue that. We’re already seeing results in our first few weeks.”
The business treats patients seeking relief for ailments such as musculoskeletal injury, chronic joint pain or hip, knee, back, or shoulder pain, for example.
Former Dallas Cowboys MVP Emmitt Smith is the official spokesperson for QC Kinetix.
Scott Hoots, CEO of Charlotte-based QC Kinetix, said the Nardones are a welcome addition to the franchise family.
“Combining Emily’s background in the healthcare industry and Gregg’s business experience with their love of regenerative medicine makes them the perfect candidates for us,” Hoots said. “We can’t wait to see their business grow and help more patients across New England.”
