The Hartford Business Journal has won two national journalism awards for its reporting on breaking news.
The Area Alliance of Business Publication awards were handed out Saturday in Nashville Tenn., and included competition from nearly 80 business publications from around the country like the Los Angeles Business Journal, Crain’s New York Business, Indianapolis Business Journal, and Crain’s Chicago.
In the best print scoop category HBJ Editor Greg Bordonaro received a silver award for his story on Back9Network’s $7 million deal to open a TV studio in downtown Hartford.
Meanwhile, in the best online scoop category HBJ Managing Editor Brad Kane and Bordonaro won a silver award for their story on Farmington law firm Levy & Droney PC dissolving and its top lawyers moving to Hinckley, Allen & Snyder in Hartford.
