HBJ Launches New HartfordBusiness.com Site

Recognizing the increasing reliance on the convenience, timeliness and accessibility of information via the Internet, the Hartford Business Journal today launches its expansive new site, HartfordBusiness.com.

The Web site has been designed as a place to bring readers not just news from our weekly flagship publication, but information and data that can’t be obtained anywhere else. HartfordBusiness.com visitors will be able to do searches of real estate data across Connecticut, find and download new business starts, and research information across our extensive databases of list and market data.

For the first time, readers will be able to access all of the Hartford Business Journal’s print offerings via our Web site. Every story that’s in the weekly HBJ will also be available via HartfordBusiness.com. But Web visitors will get even more.

Indeed, there’s a reason the site is called HartfordBusiness.com. Site users will find new e-mail newsletters, an ability to customize searches for data and information, the ability to register for HBJ events and to find out about other business events throughout the region. Visitors will find a host of features that help inform their business lives.

All of our daily HBJ Today news items will also be available at the site, and we’ll be adding more HBJ Today items exclusively to HartfordBusiness.com every afternoon.

Our Web Only section will feature more than a half dozen new stories every day, available only through HartfordBusiness.com. When breaking business news happens, you can turn to HartfordBusiness.com to get the definitive scoop on what’s happening.

There are some functions of the site where users can purchase specialized data reports. There are other portions of the site which will be available only to paid subscribers to the Hartford Business Journal. But for the first two months – until Monday, May 7 – even those subscriber-only sections will be available for everyone to view. We want you to try us out, to tell us what we’re doing right, and where we could make the site even better.

As a news site, as a data site, as an information source, as a networking site, HartfordBusiness.com has been designed to be the place where business leaders click.
