Massachusetts’ Berkshire Bank has added a pair of veteran Connecticut bankers to it commercial-lending team in the state.
Devin Hawthorne and Jeffrey Roman are vice presidents and relationship managers in Berkshire’s Connecticut commercial lending zone.
Hawthorne previously was a lending vice president at Bridgeport’s Peoples United Bank since 2010. Prior to that, he was with Sovereign Bank since 2002, as vice president of corporate banking in Hartford.
The Hartford resident earned both his MBA and B.S. in finance from Central Connecticut State University. Hawthorne chairs the board of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Roman comes from US Trust Bank of America, where he was a senior vice president and private client manager since 2007. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president and senior client manager with Bank of America for 10 years.
The Bristol resident holds Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as a B.S. in business administration from CCSU.
Berkshire Bank, of Pittsfield, Mass., operates 12 branches in western Massachusetts’ Pioneer Valley and eight in Connecticut.
