Haven Hot Chicken to debut in North Haven next week

Elm City-born restaurant chain Haven Hot Chicken is opening its fourth area location, in North Haven on April 15.

The expanding eatery’s latest venue, at 146 Washington Ave., is in a 1,100-square-foot space.

Haven Hot Chicken’s menu features Nashville-style chicken sandwiches and tenders. The restaurant also offers cauliflower-based items for those who prefer a vegetarian option. Guests can customize their orders based on the level of spice they prefer, from “Country,” with no spice, up to “Haven,” the spiciest offering.

Customers can pick from sides, such as french fries, vinegar slaw, pickles, macaroni and cheese and pudding.

Restaurateurs Rob LaTronica, Craig Sklar, Jason Sobocinski and Etkin Tekin founded the Haven Hot Chicken concept in 2020. The owners say plans are for continued growth and additional locations.

Jonathan Southard, general manager for the North Haven restaurant, said, “We couldn’t be more excited to join the North Haven community and serve them the best Hot Chicken and Not Chicken they’ve ever had.”

The North Haven business is planning an opening-day party, with a ribbon cutting, activities and a free sandwich to the first 300 guests.

The new location is close to a Stop & Shop and Starbucks.
