Harvard Pilgrim taps former Aetna exec as CT VP

Health insurer Harvard Pilgrim has named Mark Jardin vice president of its Connecticut business.

Harvard Pilgrim, which is a nonprofit insurer, is new to the Connecticut market.

Jardin most recently worked for healthcare consultancies UST Global and Capgemini.

He previously spent more than 20 years with Aetna in various roles, including chief operating officer of its international business and managing director for the Middle East and Africa.

Jardin, who is a Sacred Heart University alum, will be based at Pilgrim’s downtown Hartford office.
