Hartford casual-dining chain Wood-n-Tap is opening a seventh bar and grill in Wallingford, the Meriden Record-Journal reports.
The chain is taking over the location of the empty Humphrey’s Grille and Bar next to Bruegger’s Bagels in the plaza on Route 5, myrecordjournal.com reports. Owners say they took over the lease from Humphrey’s earlier this month and are tentatively slated to open in August.
The previous tenant, Humphrey’s, closed at the end of 2011, along with the rest of the chain.
Wood-n-Tap’s other sites are in Hartford, Farmington, Southington, Rocky Hill, Vernon and Orange – but desirable due to its location and large plaza parking lot.
