Hip restaurant group The Place 2 Be is expanding beyond its Hartford-area roots all the way to Springfield, Massachusetts, where the restaurant is opening its fourth location.
The all-day-brunch restaurant is opening a location in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in early 2022, joining two existing restaurants.
“We’re thrilled to bring The Place 2 Be’s brunch experience to Springfield and are truly honored that the Hall of Fame has chosen us to be a part of their incredible venue, joining the ranks of legendary restaurant groups there” said Gina Luari, founder of The Place 2 B.
At 6,000 square feet, the new venue will be Luari’s largest so far, with room for a private events space for up to 100 people. The location will feature an outdoor patio, four bars and new restaurant options.
John L. Doleva, president of the Hall of Fame, said the restaurant’s “perfect vibe” will bring new energy to the downtown entertainment complex.
Apart from the restaurant and the Hall of Fame, the deal involved Colebrook Realty Services and New Valley Bank and Trust.
Launched in 2016, The Place 2 Be has two Hartford locations and one in West Hartford.
