Hartford’s Salute opens second location in Rocky Hill

Popular Hartford Italian restaurant Salute has opened a second location in Rocky Hill.

The new eatery, which features many of the same dishes as the Hartford restaurant, debuted Oct. 28. It is located at 377 Cromwell Ave., the former site of Pazzo Cafe.

Salute’s owners first announced plans to expand into Rocky Hill in February. At that time, they were eyeing a summer opening date.

Salute opened its first location in Hartford, at 100 Trumbull St., in 2010, in the former Dulce restaurant space. It is owned by Andy Rizzo, chef David Caudill and James Cosgrove, former manager of Hot Tomato’s, which had been a Hartford mainstay for decades before closing in 2017.
