The Pratt Street Patio lunchtime concert series will return to downtown Hartford next week, according to organizers.
The Hartford Business Improvement District and Hartford.com will begin holding the weekday series Tuesday on Pratt Street, which will be closed to vehicle traffic Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The program will run until Sept. 27, organizers say.
They will provide free lunchtime concerts every Thursday at noon with local performers including Joey Batts, Tang Sauce, and Orice Jenkins, among others from across the state.
Organizers say they are reviving entertainment on Friday evenings during the summer months with several fundraisers, musical festivals and other performances from June to August.
The Pratt Street Patio will also host a women’s World Cup soccer viewing party on June 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as the U.S. women’s team faces Chile in France.
The lunchtime series is funded by a grant from the Richard P. Garmany Fund.
