Mayor Mike’s Restaurant is closed, The Hartford Courant reports.
The newspaper says on a blog post on its website that, despite a window sign touting kitchen renovations, the word on the street is that the eatery at 283 Asylum St. is closed for good. Â
Late Hartford Mayor Michael Peters opened the establishment in July 2004 as a popular watering hole for politicians and business professionals.
Following his death in 2009, the restaurant was renovated and a new menu added.
