Hartford area home sales rose 14 percent in July from a year earlier but prices fell, a realty survey shows.
Sales of single-family houses rose to 685 last month from 601 the same month last year, according to the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors.
Median sales price of houses sold dipped just under 1 percent to $240,000 vs. $238,000 in July 2010.
Condo sales rose 23 percent to 165 units in July, while median sales price dropped 4.7 percent to $163,000, GHAR said.
