Hartford’s FM to upkeep 300 U.S. Burger Kings

Hartford’s FM Facilities Management has been hired to oversee upkeep of some 300 Burger King restaurants in the U.S. owned by the chain’s second-largest franchisee, authorities say.

Strategic Restaurants Acquisition Co., of San Ramon, Calif., agreed to an undisclosed FM fee to keep their store interiors and exteriors clean and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, among other services.

It was unclear whether any of the contracted Burger Kings are in Connecticut. An FM official did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

FM provides a similar service to, among others, 7-Eleven, Outback Steakhouse restaurants, ExxonMobil, Goodyear Tires and Dollar General stores.
