Hartford’s Crowne Plaza Sold

Escondido, Cal.-based Choa Vision has bought the Crowne Plaza in downtown Hartford from the Rosdev Group of Montreal, Canada, for $20.2 million, Rosdev said. Rosdev bought the 350-room hotel in Dec. 2004. The company also owns the Crowne Plaza Secaucus-Meadowlands in Seacaucus N.J., where it has been the subject of a bitter labor dispute with unionized employees over vacation and overtime payments. No number for Choa Vision could be located. Hostmark Hospitality Group of Schaumburg, Ill. will manage the property.
