The Hartford Wolf Pack minor league hockey team will make its return to Hartford’s XL Center Sunday, but will play the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in a mostly empty arena.
Fans will not be allowed inside during the 1 p.m. American Hockey League event in downtown Hartford, but may watch this and all future games in 2021 for free on the league’s website, an announcement by the Wolf Pack said.
“Designed to mitigate the risk of spread or contraction of COVID-19, some new restrictions and protocols have been put in place for those in attendance at games.”
In addition to not admitting fans, new protocols include holding post-game press conferences and interviews via online platform Zoom, rather than in-person.
