SKY Investment Group is the third acquisition for New York-based partnership firm Aspen Wealth Management.
Hartford-based investment advisor SKY Investment Group has been acquired by Aspen Standard Wealth, a New York firm.
Aspen describes itself as a long-term partner and permanent home for independent advisory firms. It is not a registered investment advisor.
Terms of the deal were not announced.
SKY, based at One Financial Plaza, was founded in 2005 and has $880 million in assets under management. It has a 14-person team.
The firm is particularly known for its work with family principals who prioritize multigenerational education and transfer of wealth.
SKY is Aspen’s third acquisition. It bought Massachusetts-based New England Private Wealth Advisors in April, and San Francisco Bay-area Summitry in November of 2024.
SKY is the smallest of those acquisitions. To date, Aspen has added more than $6.5 billion in assets to its portfolio.
