Hartford warehouse properties sell for $9.4M

A trio of adjacent Hartford properties hosting 92,266-square-feet of warehouse space in two buildings on a combined area of nearly 5 acres recently sold for $9.4 million. The new owners have ties to Dunkin’ restaurant franchises.

In a deal recorded Dec. 18, New Britain-based 150 Meadow Street LLC sold the properties at 150 Meadow St., 150-H Meadow St. and 131 Elliott St. to South Meadows Realty LLC.

The seller acquired the properties for $3.8 million in 2022. Its principals are The Peter Niro Jr. Irrevocable Family Trust and Peter Niro.

The buying LLC’s address ties back to a Meriden property hosting a Dunkin’ location, as well as the Batista Cos Inc. Its principals are M&N Batista Holdings, of Wallingford, and Avon-based Farview Realty LLC.

M&N Batista Holdings’ principals are the Michael S. Batista Trust and the Nancy A. Batista Trust, both sharing a Wallingford address. Farview Realty’s principals are Kim Crew, of Avon and Scott W. Fanning, of Plainville.

Michael Batista declined comment when reached Monday. Both he and Fanning have been officers of the Connecticut Franchisee Association — a lobbying group which shares a Meriden address with the Batista Cos Inc.

In testimony submitted to the General Assembly regarding workplace legislation, Fanning and Batista describe the association as representing owners of Dunkin’ restaurants.
