Online ticket marketplace StubHub named Hartford the home of the biggest music fans in America, as the city had the most gross concert ticket sales per capita in 2011.
Hartford was StubHub’s No. 1 Most Rockin’ City followed by Boston, Miami, Atlanta and Las Vegas. This was the third year in a row Hartford ranked in the top two in concert purchases. The city ranked No. 1 in 2009 and No. 2 in 2010.
The most popular concert for Hartford ticket buyers was the Taylor Swift Speak Now Tour. The concert played at the XL Center on June 22.
StubHub is based in San Francisco, but it’s second largest office is in East Granby. The company recently tripled the size of that call center and employs 140 people there.
