The Tobacco Shop, which lost its lease to its longtime Asylum Street home in downtown Hartford, is preparing to reopen in larger quarters nearby in a former athletic shoe shop at 89 Pratt St.
Owner James W. Delisle said in an email to customers Monday he expects to reopen his 2,000-square-foot shop May 9 in space that was formerly The Shoe Stop, just a block away from his old, 1,300-square-foot quarters at 55 Asylum St., which closed in early April.
“Also we are negotiating parking validation for you at the Pro Park on Asylum St.,” Delisle wrote. “Our hours will be extended during the week and on Saturdays as well. We look forward to serving you at our new location.”
