Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin has promoted the city’s revenue manager as its acting budget chief.
Jolita Lazauskas will be succeeding Melissa McCaw who was recently tapped by Gov.-elect Ned Lamont to be the state’s new budget director.Â

Prior to city work, Lazauskas served as accounting manager at New Britain aerospace manufacturer Integra-Cast Inc., crafting the company’s annual budget, among other roles.
Lazauskas also managed finances, cost analysis and budgeting for five years each at Massachusetts construction supply company All States Materials Group and medical supply manufacturer Seahorse Bioscience.Â
She earned a master’s degree in business administration from American International College.
