Resident theater Hartford Stage said its production ‘A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder’ has received 10 Tony Award nominations, topping any other Broadway show.
The production’s nominations include best musical, best director of a musical, best actor in a musical, best costume design in a musical, and best original score, among others.
The show is based on Roy Horniman’s 1907 novel ‘Israel Rank: the Autobiography of a Criminal.’ The show opened on Broadway last year.
The Tony Awards are slated for June 8 and will be hosted by actor Hugh Jackson.
